Large warehouses are often called to handle the distribution of thousands of orders to customers involved in industrial manufacturing as well as hospital supplies, pharmaceuticals, aviation, automotive transportation equipment and more. High volume shipping may involve inventories of 100,000 pieces; calling for rapid, accurate item location and delivery to the designated access point.

Hänel Lean-lift® and Rotomat® automated storage equipment is easy to customize to accommodate multiple access points include multi-floor installation. In a multi-story warehouse, for example, new items can be added to inventory on one flock during restocking while employees on another floor continue to pick items to fill orders. Vertical lifts feature parallel operation and bring the specified containers to all three access points. Employees use barcode scanners to confirm all put and pick trans-actions directly at the lift.  Inventory controls provide for JIT restocking to the designated compartment in the system.
